As you will no doubt have noticed,
parking at the surgery, which has
never been generous, has become
much more restricted since the
arrival of Giles Insurance
Services. This is due to the fact
that six spaces, previously
available to all visitors, have
been allocated for the exclusive
use of the new tenants.
We have also become increasingly
concerned that emergency traffic,
including ambulances, has been
unable to gain access to the front
door and the doctors 'on-call'
spaces because of inconsiderate
parking in front of the door, on
the roadways, and in the
entrance.
Please do not expect to be able to
park at the surgery, and instead
use one of the many nearby public
car parks. This will ensure that
elderly and infirm people can be
dropped off and collected at the
door, emergency access can be
preserved, and the risk of
accidents
reduced.
The Princess Royal Trust for
Carers
The Practice has recently
established a link with the
Princess Royal
Trust for Carers (PRTC) and
representatives from the PRTC will
visit the practice on a weekly
basis during May to offer advice
and assistance to Carers registered
with the Practice.
Following our Practice Satisfaction
Survey, Dr Hannah and Joanne Gibson
met with some patient
representatives to discuss the
results. We also took the
opportunity to look at ways in
which we might improve the services
we provide. One of the ideas looked
at was
on-line
prescriptions which we
now have in place.
